What’s new this year?

• The sets will be different from last year.

• There will be INDOOR SNOW! Your kids are going to love it!

• Christmas / Holiday cards are available at a lower rate with many more designs to choose from. See the design collection here.

• Booking is available earlier this year so you can book sooner and plan for your cards sooner too.

• With our rent and everything that went up, the package price is increased by tiny bit (add-ons stay the same) to be more sustainable.

What’s the same/similar?

• There will be 3 sets: 2 Family Sets and 1 Kid/Pet Set

• Your mini session hosts (the quiet guy who presses the shutter button & the loud girl who makes funny sounds for your kids/pets)

• Location & parking situation

• Booking process (full payment required upon booking and made by etransfer only)

• General flow (pick your edits, wait for them, download them, and show them off)

• One family per session. Kids and pets are welcome. Limited number of 6 participants only (2 adults).

• [All in One Basic Edit Pack] $500: You get all the images in the proofing gallery (edited/unedited)

• [Jumbo Edit Pack] $325: Additional 20 edits

• [Large Edit Pack] $175: Additional 10 edits

• [Additional Retouched Edit] $60 each

• [Additional Basic Edit] $20 each

Print add-ons (subject to GST & PST):

• [Print for Keepsake] starts at $3.
  Lots of print sizes and paper options for you to choose from.

• [Beautiful Holiday / Xmas Card Bundle] starts at $60/pack of 25.
  Many designs for you to choose from. The cards come in packs of 25 along with a variety of envelopes to choose from.

Availability & Booking

Every package includes:

* You get to use all the themes we’ve created and the props we’ve prepared.
* You will receive a proofing gallery to select your favourite images within 5 business days after the session. Final images will be ready in 7~10 business days after you’ve submitted your selection. Please make sure to submit your selection within 2 weeks.
* Final images will be print-ready high-res JPEGs (3000px long edge).
* Digital delivery via a downloadable online gallery.
* Online gallery to download, view, and share will be available for 2 weeks.

About payments:

* Non-refundable full payment is required to secure the time slot.
* Applicable taxes will apply.
* We accept e-transfer only. Send payment to payment@modernromance.ca within 1 hour after your’ve made an appointment or contact us if you run into any technical difficulties, otherwise your appointment request will be cancelled automatically and you will need to rebook.

About your booking:

* 1 family per session. Different families must book separately.
* Please be on time. Late arrival will result in a shorter session or an automatic cancellation without rescheduling.
* Rescheduling is not accepted and amount paid is not valid for credit for other sessions.
* No-shows are considered forfeiting your session. No refund or credit will be given.
* Session and pick-up (if applicable) will be at Unit 103 1338 W 6th Ave Vancouver.
* Free & paid street parking as well as free parking in our parkade if the gate is open (limited spots).
* Maximum 6 participants (2 adults and up to 3~4 children/pets depending on age/size).
* Please note: no guests, family members, or friends are allowed besides the participants.
* Children under 4 months old aren’t suitable for the mini session.
* Well-trained dogs/pets are welcome. We kindly ask you not to bring your dog(s) to the session if you cannot control your dog.
* If you have large dog(s), please email us first before booking a session.
* Sanitization will be done between sessions & we are fully vaccinated.

About the digital edits:

* Edits: colour corrected, image enhanced, and polished.
* Retouching: skin retouching, blemishes/scar removal, face swapping, teeth whitening, slimming/reshaping, etc if applicable.

Before you come in:

* No outside shoes are allowed. Please bring a pair of clean shoes for photos if you’d like.
* We kindly ask you to wipe your fur-baby’s paws as well.

Gift Certificates are also available! This would be a perfect gift for your loved ones! Avoid plastic packaged items or destined-for-the-landfill products. Here’s a little minimal waste story behind our sets: We try to keep minimal waste and live by the principle of avoid buying new, we are proud to say that we once again collected most, if not all, of the props and decor from thrifting online (Facebook Marketplace is great) and in MANY thrift stores from West Vancouver to Langley (Value Village and Salvation Army are great). Almost all of the decorations, Christmas items, houseware and furniture that you will see and or use will be or already have been thrifted.
