Teaser | Yna + Yohei's DIY Wedding

We are so excited and thrilled to be sharing these sneak peeks with you and our friends. It's the wedding that we have been waiting for, the wedding that is most unique and special to us. We are biased simply because Yna and Yohei are not only very good friends of ours, they are also our biggest supporters ever since Modern Romance launched. Oh and also our very own photographer, Ruby, wasn't a photographer at this wedding. She was one of Yna's bridesmaids, she finally got to experience on the other side of the camera and witness her own team in action. It was also the wedding that we know most of the guests and friends, not to mention, it was the most touching and teary wedding we have ever been to and captured. It was impossible not to have watery eyes at the reception. Simply the most touching wedding ever.

We can't tell you how much this wedding means to us. Just let us proudly present you some sneak peeks!

Happy BC Day | We went Crabbing!

The team went crabbing on BC Day since all of our weekends are booked with weddings and weddings! We had a such a relaxing day with our good friends. One of the things we looked forward the most was catching crabbing and having a nice crab feast! BUT unfortunately we caught NOTHING.. okay there was one, but it was a little one, which cannot kept and eaten...

As videographers... we've decided to just put a camera in the crab trap and hoped to find out what was really going on down there under the water. And ... we were blown away by what was caught on camera! A little fun video to watch, just casual, nothing fancy ;)

We were so glad that Angie and Clement contacted us last minute and met us just less than a week before their wedding. It was another wedding that decided to book even before meeting us in person. We don't know how to describe the kind of joy when knowing that our couples are so confident and just about anything we do for them. We are grateful for the kind of couples we have the pleasure to meet and eventually be friends with. It's one thing why we love our job!

Linda + Jon | We are the Queens and Kings | Wedding Same-day-edit (SDE)

Finally it's the day of Linda + Jon's wedding. One of the most supporting couples that we have this year. Before the wedding we knew that it was going to be an awesome one just by knowing how fun and humorous they are. It was also one of the weddings that can most represent a "Vancouverite" wedding because of their backgrounds -- Linda is Sri Lankan and Jon is Chinese + Canadian mix. So not to mention the ceremony and reception was very multi-cultural! It was probably the most multi-cultural wedding we've been to!

One of the highlights we had hanging out with Linda and Jon and their awesome wedding party was, they were doing Harlem Shake at one point during the portrait session on the streets in Downtown Vancouver!! It was absolutely hilarious and so much fun to just video capture it. We loved filming Linda's super models skills with a ton of different expressions and poses ohhh and also the tug-of-war between the ladies and the gentlemen, which you will see just a couple of seconds in the video.

It's a wedding that is full of touching moments, tears, jokes, joy, harlem shake, and craziness! It's all-in-one, can't ask for more!

Kind words from Linda + Jon....

From the first day we met Ruby and Cedric we instantly knew we were going to go with them. They are both so genuine and caring. With a lot of videographers in the Vancouver market there's a lot of competition but we ultimately made the best decision of going with them.

Their team of videographers worked really well with our photographers and we rarely had to do anything special outside of the photo shoot, they were very descrete. They surprised us at our reception with a SDE we were amazed! we didn't know how they captured all of this without being noticed.

I highly reccommend Modern Romance, they truly are the best. This was the best decision we made for our wedding, look no further and book with them!
