/We had a great weekend hanging out with not just amazing volunteers but also a lot of dogs (also there were some cats, bunnies, and a hedgehog!) We've always wanted to be a part of an animal related sort of fundraising events. Luckily with Ellen's connection to Tammy, we had the opportunity to be a part of a fun dog-ful event with Love On A Leash who put together this annual fundraising event. All the net proceeds donated to Thank Dog I am Out Rescue. We absolutely adore Steph and Scott's "Up" themed wedding at the Vancouver Aquarium this summer. The couple are our university mates, and we've been waiting for this beautiful union to happen since their romance bloomed. Who doesn't like colored smoke and fireworks? I've been part of shoots that employed these awesome things, but I've never done a shoot of my own that had them. I've also been looking forward to doing a shoot where I can throw in some crazy colors; either through lighting, or the production design. Having not directed any projects of my own since a few years ago, I finally decided to do a shoot just for fun, just in time for Halloween. So I bought some fireworks, smoke grenades, and readied my colored gels for an exciting experiment.
