Frequently Asked Questions
* What does an Edit include? What does Retouching/Retouched Image mean?
Each edit will be enhanced with lighting, contrast adjustment, and colour correction. Retouched images would usually include skin retouching, removal of acne, scars, marks, and background cleaning if needed. Sometimes face/eyes swapping if needed.
* How do we reserve the date?
Contact us through the form here, or e-mail us at hello@modernromance.ca. A $100 non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve the date. The booking fee will credit toward the package.
* Can we reschedule the photo session?
We understand the weather may not cooperate or last minute changes happen. Just give us minimum 48 hours notice to arrange the rescheduling.
* Can I pick my location?
Absolutely! Feel free to let us know if you have any location in mind or we can brainstorm with you too. Traveling fee may apply.
* What should I bring to the shoot?
Details, props, and accessories if any. You are welcome to bring anything that is significant to you (or not!). Feel free to dress up and bring extra outfits, let's not forget your accessories such as handmade crafts, scarves, hats, jewelries, books, glasses, bubbles, anything you like!
* How many people in a Family/Maternity/Friendship/Children Session?
$25 extra per person. Family Session includes up to 3 people. Maternity Session includes the mom and your partner, if desired. Friendship Session includes up to 2 people. Children Session includes up to 2 kids.
* Can we bring our pet?
We LOVE animals! As long as they are well-behaved at public outdoor locations, bring 'em! $25 extra per pet.
* What if we arrive late to the session?
Please be on time. Late arrival will result in a shorten session, which means less photo time so let's make sure you arrive on time and get the most of it.
* When should we pay in full?
Full payment is required prior to the session, latest on the day of session. Late payment will delay the delivery of your proofs.
* What are the payment methods?
We take cash and e-Transfers.
* When can I see my images?
Proofs will be ready in around 7~10 business days after the shoot.
* Where can I see the images?
You will receive a link to a password-protected gallery to view the images.
* How much is the portrait session and how many images will I receive?
